Formed in 1883 to exploit the remarkable new technology of Mnsr Daguerre the company gained considerable notoriety by being the first to publish photogravures of the young Queen Victoria clad only in “I Zingari” cricket protectors and the new Patent “Chubb Chastity Six-Lever Special”.

After a brief hiatus,  once the directors were released from gaol, the company entered into a long period of quietus, relieved finally by the desire to exploit the remarkable talent of a young wildlife artist, “Nicholas” - who’s work is still part of the portfolio.

On a more parochial level we also operate a short-run gicleé printing service, which offers artists a chance to have an original work scanned, digitised and then printed on high-quality art papers at a very competitive price. Once an image is digitised and stored in our archive further copies may be produced on demand, allowing an artist to create a portfolio of limited or open edition works without incurring the costs of a traditional litho print run.
